CHRISTmas at Tabares Manor was a bit weird. That’s because we Tabareses are weird people. But weird is fun and that’s what this blog is all about so here’s a peek at:
A Very Tabares CHRISTmas 2013
I’m dreaming of a slightly less hot CHRISTmas!
It registered 101 in my backyard on CHRISTmas day. The sensor is partially in the sun so that’s with the Heat Unchill Factor. We had the fans going. My dh and son in their shorts and my dd and I in our tank tops had just settled down for a short (what passes for winter)’s nap. This is our very last CHRISTmas in the ARIDzona oven before we move to the Indiana freezer.
We had an unscheduled visit from…The Ghost of Plaid Past AKA my son, Chris.
My 23 y/o dd’s favorite gift: A plushie Dalek, “I love to hug something that can kill me.”
It’s a wrap: My son’s favorite gift given to him by his Dalek loving sister.
After prayers and opening gifts, we had our traditional CHRISTmas breakfast, Mexican Style: eggs and tortillas. Then a little Dr. Who marathon followed by Seafood Enchiladas for dinner. After which, we watched Mat Smith’s 11th doctor transform into the 12th doctor.
How was CHRISTmas in your neck of the desert…or woods or streams or frozen tundra as the case may be?
